it's my great pleasure to announce today the start of the EGF-newsletter.
Cornel Burzo and Tony Claasen will be in charge for distributing this news twice a month, always on the 1st and the 3rd Thursday or Friday of a month.
With this newsletter we want to extend our information-service. Very often we get messages from organizers with the wish "please publish", especially about online tournaments, or summer-camps, or very special Go-events where the organizers are hoping on more participants. It is not possible to satisfy this requests via our EGF-webpage, but a short message in the EGF-newsletter should be possible.
Also the EGF often wants to spread news over Europe, but we cannot address interested players directly.
-- Have you heard about the first Ibero-American Go-Congress in Cancun/Mexico in October 2017 ?
-- Do you know that you should register for the European Student Championship in time, because we plan a special tournament for exactly 16 players ?
So, with this newsletter we want to open communication in both directions.
Often I heard in the past, especially in Japan, that people miss something similar to the American E-journal about Go in Europe. So we start now, and if it will be successful we might change to a weekly newsletter ("Go-weekly...").
This new EGF newsletter is no replacement of our EGF webpage. It's an important "add-on", I hope you like it
