Auditors report 25th July 2003 1. T.Mark Hall resigned shortly after he was elected; Fred Renaud could not be here; the reporting is therefore done by only one auditor. 2. The books of the treasurer are in good order. I could find all information I wanted without problem. In order to facilitate the members to understand these figures better I derived a statement of income and expenditure from it. 3. The Ing accounts could be audited only roughly, as I could not get all the information how to translate the bank statements into specifics. I cannot think of a reason why the Ing account should not be merged with the other accounts of the EGF. This would make several peoples jobs easier, save bank charges, and make it easier to get some interest on the Ing reserve. 4. The treasurer had to make payments to the Russian Go congress in a rather unusual way; neither the treasurer, nor I like that. 5. This year the EGF has been able to add a considerable sum to its capital; In my personal opinion the EGF should find a way to spend money in the go community; I know it is difficult to find a sensible project, but nevertheless try. 6. Expenses claimed by the EGF officers are low. This is either through generosity on their behalf or a sign of low activity. 7. The executive should involve themselves a little more with the congress - the most important reason of the existence of the EGF. This does not only mean quality control, but also assistance.
