The Kansai Ki-in will host the 5th annual Osaka Go Camp 25 June to 13 July, 2017. The second Japan Go Congress will be held 14-17 July. This year more than 80 participated in the camp and 300 attended the congress. Both events are open for all levels, from beginner to 7 dan.  Read more...

The preliminary rounds of the 13th Sankei Cup were played on 31 October and 2 November 2016.
This is the third time that the Kansai Ki-in invites foreign pros to play in the annual tournament sponsored by the Sankei newspaper. Europe was represented by the EGF pros Artem Kachanovskiy 1p and Mateusz Surma 1p.  Read more...

On 20 August 2016, two of the best players of Korea, Kim Jiseok 9p (White) and Choi Cheolhan 9p (Black), faced each other in the Korean league. A phenomenon occured that the grand majority of go players will never see in a lifetime in their own games: the Two-Headed Dragon.  Read more...

The third annual World Collegiate Weichi Championship, organised and sponsored by the Ing Foundation, was held in Toronto/Kanada from 8-12 July 2016. The playing venue and accommodation were located on the University of Missassauga campus.  Read more...

The 3rd edition of the Silk Road International City Weiqi International Tournament will be held in Urumqi, China, from 1 to 6 September. In order to commemorate the historic trading route, the Silk Road, this tournament invites up to 30 European players (3 dan and stronger) as well as Chinese amateur players.  Read more...
