20th International Amateur Pair Go Championship

14th - 15th November 2009, Tokyo

Korea were again winners of the International Amateur Pair Go Championships in Tokyo. Their pair, Ye Seul Song and Sang Heun Lee, beat a Japanese Pair (Oda and Nagayo) in the final.

China was in fourth place with 4 wins and Chinese Taipei was 8th. Russia won 3 wins to take 10th place. Japanese teams took all the other top 10 places.

Kirsty Healey and Matthew Macfadyen of UK won the best dressed prize.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary there was a Pair Go essay writing contest, won by Manja and Micha Marz from Germany.

In addition there were awards to people who have helped promote Pair Go during the last 20 years. One was one by Francis Roads of the UK.

The EGF presented Mrs Taki with a photo montage of Pair Go in Europe during the last two decades.
