The 10th Silk Road International City Weiqi tournament
The Silk Road tournament, a team tournament, will take place early November in Xi'an in China. Interested players above 3kyu (peak rating in July-September) can register. Financial help will be provided (500USD) to the top 10 players from the EGF participants.

Participation Guidelines:
Each delegation shall register one team leader and three representatives. Participants must hold the nationality of an EGF member country. Maximum of 30 players will be invited from EGF member countries. Rank limit is 3kyu EGD (highest rating in July-September 2025).

State the names of your teammates in the comment section of the registration form. If you don’t have a team, you will be assigned to one.
Registration Deadline: Registration closes on October 8, 2025.
Each team must submit the registration form, ID photo, and a passport copy later.
Competition Rules:
The latest Go competition rules approved by the Chinese Weiqi Association shall apply.
Swiss system tournament format, 8 rounds.
Computer pairing will be used. Teams will not face each other in the first three rounds; no further avoidance will be applied thereafter.
Tencent Go's photo counting system will be used for counting stones (territories). If a player objects to the photo count, they may request manual counting by the referee.
Timing: Each player receives 50 minutes, followed by two 10-second byo-yomi periods.
Failure to arrive within 15 minutes of the match start time will result in forfeiture of that round.
Scoring:
Team Results: Team scores are the sum of individual rankings, with lower numbers ranking higher.
Individual Scoring: Ranked by individual points; higher points indicate higher placement.
In case of a tie, compare opponent points; the higher total ranks higher. If still tied, determine the winner in the following order (only for head-to-head comparisons): direct wins — round-by-round elimination — number of violations — draw.
Awards:
Top 10 individual awards: Cash prizes, trophies, and certificates.
Champion: ¥60,000; 2nd–10th: ¥30,000, ¥15,000, ¥8,000, ¥5,000, ¥3,000, ¥2,000, ¥2,000, ¥1,500, ¥1,500 (pre-tax, RMB).
Team awards will be presented to the top six teams, with trophies and certificates.
Competition Fees:
Each participating team must pay a competition fee of 2000 RMB. Accommodation and meals for team leaders and players during the competition will be covered by the organizing committee.
Accompanying person has to pay for accommodation and food. Price for the accompanying person:TBD
The registered players will be informed about the price of single rooms. By default all players stay in double rooms.
Top 10 players from EGF member countries, ranked by EGD, will receive a transportation subsidy of 500 USD per person. (highest rating in July-September 2025)
Referees and Arbitration
The Chief Referee shall be appointed by the Chinese Weiqi Association. The Deputy Chief Referee and Referees shall be designated by the organizing party.
An Arbitration Committee shall be established.
