An impression of the training camp before the start of the EYGC together with interviews with the participants.

On Friday before the start of the Go-Camp in Prague I was part of an anti-war demonstration with over 150.000 people joining to demonstrate against the Russian invasion and war in the Ukraine.

This war is having a big impact on the social life of every one in Europe, and now also in the go community as a lot of players from both Ukraine and Russia can not participate in the Camp or in the EYGC.

The training camp started on the 6th of March and for three days over 20 children were studying go in several groups lead by Andrii Kravets 1P, Lukáš Podpěra 7d, Jan Šimara 6d and Adriana Tomšů 2d.

I was able to have a small interview with almost all the participants of the Go-Camp, in some cases the best part was using hands and feet to get the question translated.

In short the go camp was a big success, with a lot of go and fun.
The players were introduced to new ideas, which they could then try out in their games. Many new friendships (independent from the spoken language) were born. Communication with just hands and feets still seem to work perfectly fine.
