Andrii Kravets 🇺🇦 has been promoted to 4 dan professional, just a few months after earning his 3 dan professional rank in January 2026!
Since his previous promotion, Andrii has had an impressive run of results, winning several major European tournaments and defeating a number of strong professional players along the way.

One of the highlights came at the European Professional Championship in Bucharest in March: Andrii won the tournament, which he had won last year as well (Vienna). He followed this with another tournament victory at the Old Hunter’s Cup in Prague in May, one of the biggest European tournament with the strongest field.

Andrii continued showcasing his skills at the European Championship in Ankara in July, winning the title and defeating Ali Jabarin 3p and Lukas Podpera 7d in the last quarter of the bracket.

He also added professional points through other competitions, including his victory at the Play with Brain tournament (a tournament coupled with a scientific experiment focused on brain study) and his participation in the Chinese C League.

Together, these results gave Andrii the 60 professional points required for his next promotion. His rise from 3 dan to 4 dan professional in just a few months is a remarkable achievement and reflects an outstanding period of tournament performance. Congratulations!

Of course, this small article doesn’t come randomly.
In the last months and years, several pros improved their rank, sometimes at a very quick speed too. It’s very encouraging for the community and the Pros to see that the level can still improve, that potential can be converted into real results and keeps growing!As we are preparing the next Pro Qualification, this is even more meaningful.
