Top European youth players and top European active players are once again invited to study at the prestigious Ge Yuhong Academy in Quzhou, Zhejiang province.

Selection criteria

The following players are invited to apply:

• 6d+ players whose goal is becoming a professional player
• Top players from EYGC 2026 in each age category

Note: Female players may be considered with a somewhat lower rank

Application and selection process

Please apply using the Application Form and indicate clearly the period for which you would like to study.

Deadline for applications: October 5th.

After collecting all the applications, the EGF will submit a list of recommended players to Master Ge. The final selection will be made by Master Ge by October 10th. The selection will take into account not only tournament results, but also the players’ age, rank and previous years’ participation and behaviour.

The length of study is the student’s choice, within the period from November 2026 to January 24th, 2027.

Conditions

Students’ accommodation at the dormitory, food at the school canteen and tuition are covered by the Academy.
 Flight tickets and other travel-related costs are not covered.

Training at your own cost

Players who do not satisfy selection requirements, but still want to join the training program, may also contact us about training at the Academy at their own cost. This could be particularly interesting for players who would like to combine training with events such as the Silk Road Tournament or KPMC.

The approximate cost (accommodation, food and tuition) could be expected to be around €1,500 per month.
