The Pisa International Weiqi Cup took place in Pisa the 6th and 7th and was part of the EGF Grand Prix Circuit.
67 players from 10 different countries took part in the event.

Let it begin...!

In the fight for the €500 prize for first place, the tables were turned several times right from the beginning.
The first upset happened in round 1, when the European rising star Stjepan Medak (5d, HR) beat Dohyup Kim (8d, KR).

Ho Yeung Woo (6D, UK) against Alban Granger (5d, FR)

Before the last round of a well balanced tournament, 4 players were leading the tournament with 3 wins and 1 loss: everything was then to be decided in the crucial last round.
