The Dutch Open Go Tournament 2026 will take place in Amsterdam from 15th to 17th May, organised by the Dutch Go Association (NGoB) in collaboration with the EGF.
This annual event brings together players from the Netherlands and across Europe for a weekend of high-level competition (6 rouds!), learning, and community, with a welcoming atmosphere in a great new venue at the Stayokay hotel in Amsterdam Oost.
Last year, the tournament was back after a break, gathering more than 50 players and a rather strong top-group. It was won by Lukas Podpera 7d (CZ), with the second place going to Kim Dohyup 8d (KR) and 3rd place to Benjamin Teuber 6d (DE).
This year, the competition might be even tougher!
The Dutch Open is a Bonus C event of the Grand Prix Circuit, granting a direct qualification seat to the winner for the Grand Prix Finale (Vienna, January 2027) and qualification bonus points to other top EGF players. This year, it is moreover a good way to get acquinted with the "Dutch tournament style" (understand there - the great mood and warm welcome) ahead of the EGC 2027, which will take place in the Netherlands!
Top boards will be broadcast online and several rounds will be reviewed live on Twitch by top European players.
Early registration is highly encouraged, especially for guests who want to benefit from special NGoB accommodation packages, available only until 30th April 2026.
