The 16th Pandanet Go European Team Championship - "PGETC" - (almost) ended after a year of thrilling online games in several leagues. The ultimate matches of the A league will take place in real life at the EGC 2026 in Ankara, Türkiye, in early August with Ukraine, Czechia, France and Germany.

In 2026, the Pandanet Go European Team Championship gathered 35 teams, spread over 4 Leagues. The online part is finished, with just the final games of the A League to be played live at the EGC in Ankara, on August 3-4 2026.

Results for League B, C and D

In the Leagues B, C and D, there will be up and down moves for the next season: 

The Netherlands will join the A league, while Italy dropes down to the B league.
Serbia and Slovakia move up to the B League while Austria and Switzerland join the C League.
Greece and Kazakhstan managed their way to the C League, and Norway and Portugal will join the D League.

League A: The Finals

In the A League, Czechia finished good first, followed by Ukraine, France and Germany, ahead of last year's winner Poland which is 5th. Thus, the first four teams will fight in the finals at the EGC, with 4 vs 4 team matches, on August 3-4.
The games will be broadcast on pandanet go server (IGS) and streamed on the EGF Twitch.
There is 10 000€ of prize money! Who will be the new Champion?

Preparing the 2026-2027 Season

The next season, which should start around October, is already under preparation!
The rules ofthe championship shall be refined to improve the playing conditions and anti-cheating measures but in the big lines, the Championship will be the same (same goes for the Youth Pandanet, under preparation too).

We are already looking for interested individuals who want to help by becoming League managers (A, B, C, D). A League manager's role is to ensure smooth communications between the teams of their league, solve small issues (schedule, no show...) if they occure, enter the sgf of the games and results onto the website.
It usually requires to be there during the matches once per months to make sure it all goes without troubles.

To avoid conflict of interests, managers must not hold a citizenship from a team playing in this league (= a French will not be able to be League Manager for a League including France).
