2000 - 2007

Introduction

It was a great pleasure for the EGF to officially announce that Toyota Motor Europe would support together with IGS-PandaNet the tournament system in Europe, formerly known as the TOYOTA European Go Tour.

With the co-sponsorship the name became "TOYOTA - IGS-PandaNet European Go Tour". This Tour united the traditional tournaments through a system of prizes for the top players combined with a uniform promotion policy to create large and lively events, and access to game records on IGS-PandaNet. The EGF, National Associations and the organisers of the tournaments worked closely together to realize the objectives of the TOYOTA - IGS-PandaNet European Go Tour.

The TOYOTA - IGS-PandaNet European Go Tour consisted of five yearly tournaments and seven tournaments on a rotation basis. The official start of the TOYOTA - IGS-PandaNet European Go Tour took place in a festive way at the end of the Paris Finals at Easter. The objectives and structures of the Tour, together with the rules and regulations are presented on this web site.

TOYOTA, IGS-PandaNet and the EGF expected the TOYOTA - IGS-PandaNet European Go Tour to be a big boost for European Go. They wished all top players, participants, associations and organisations success in realizing successful TOYOTA - IGS-PandaNet European Go Tours.

The Tour stopped in April 2007 and was replaced by the Pandanet Go European Cup
