I learned to play Go at the age of 7. My father read about the game in a newspaper and then he taught me and my brother to play. At first I visited a local Go club. After I got stronger than my teacher (3 kyu), I studied the game alone.

       I like to watch classic professional games like Shusaku and Go Seigen, they inspire me.

       I have an education in computer science major and worked as a programmer for 5 years. After that, I decided to try to dedicate myself just to Go.

       My hobby is football.

       My beloved wife Elena is from Romania. We have two wonderful kids.
       In February 2021 I started a new project - the European Go Journal.
       I live in a house in Kyiv, I have cats and dogs.
